Chisenhale Art Place

Three organisations are at work at Chisenhale, CHISENHALE GALLERY and CHISENHALE DANCE SPACE have independant structures and through the provision of secure, affordable workspace the STUDIOS have helped artists to establish themselves, many of whom have become internationally renowned. In addition to providing exhibition, research and development facilities the three organisations run successful education programmes.

Local schools, colleges, community groups, residents and the general public have access to unique educational experiences and art activities through the provision of school and community projects, in-house classes and exhibitions.

Chisenhale Arts Place (CAP) has occupied the former veneer factory and brewery buildings on Chisenhale Road for 25 years. We are pleased to announce that London Borough of Tower Hamlets has renewed our lease for another 25 years on very favourable terms. We look forward to an exciting new phase of growth and development.

The inaugural Chisenhale Biennale was held 14-16 September 2007.
